Welcome, my name is Kayla!
I am a Mathematics Tutor on the Sunshine Coast with 13 years teaching experience catering to all levels and abilities, and I am currently an Academic Staff at the University of Queensland, teaching Engineering tutorials/workshops. I follow the Australian curriculum in all my lessons from prep to university level, covering both catchup and extension content, with a focus of creating a sense of fun in the learning process. I graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2020 with a Bachelor of Creative Industries, studying a double major in 3D Design and Creative Writing. I have now returned to uni for a second time and am currently studying a Bachelor of Mathematics / Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Queensland. I am 27 years old. In my work as a teacher, I hope to create positive impacts in students’ lives and inspire a love for learning.
Maths Workshops
Learning Maths can be fun! Sessions will have a focus on developing core maths skills, whilst also bringing the joy back into learning. Sessions on offer include Maths tutoring and workshops (prep – yr 12 and adults), exam prep and university LANTITE prep.
Creative Writing Workshops
Sessions will focus on developing essential creative writing skills to transform your stories and engage the reader from start to finish. Workshops available for adult learners, hobbyists and those wanting to learn how to write their own book.
